GO CONFIDENTLY IN THE DIRECTION OF YOUR DREAMS

The first couple of weeks in January are always a good time for reflection so I thought I'd start the New Year off on an optimistic note with some of my favourite quotes.

CONFIDENCE

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Live the life you’ve imagined.

Henry David Thoreau

COMMITMENT

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back.

Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.

William Murray (1913-1996), from his 1951 book entitled The Scottish Himalayan Expedition.

PERSISTENCE

That which we persist in doing becomes easier, not because the task itself has become easier, but that our ability to perform it has improved.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

VISION

Write down the vision. Make it plain ... If it seem slow, wait for it; it will surely come ...

Habakkuk

DREAMS

Don't let anyone take your dream away from you - particularly those who roll their eyes when you first tell them what you want to do.

(Just give it a few minutes to open up. Go and make yourself a cup of tea while it downloads.)

In the meantime stay tuned, highly tuned and go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Now, go and write down what you want to achieve this year.

Happy New Year.

Regards
