BEYOND THE X-RAY Musculo-skeletal dysfunction has a cause and it can be found.
That in a nutshell explains out optimistic approach to musculo-skeletal dysfunction.
A particular specialty of Advanced Diagnostics is the diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal dysfunction. So many of the clients we take imaging pictures for are suffering from one sort of musculo-skeletal dysfunction or the other that we felt it useful to offer our knowledge about likely causes and useful treatment regimes.
So, we don't just take X-rays, we also take photographs designed to show the cause of the problem.
The X-ray will show that a couple of bones in the lumbar spine or in the neck are out of alignment and the extent of the damage. It doesn't say why. The cause is usually tight calf, hamstring and buttock muscles. You can only pick this up by getting people to pose in a number of different positions and see what effect tight and weak muscles are having.
We send people off with their X-ray, a set of photographs and a series of exercises designed to loosen them off and strengthen them up.
We send people to fitness centres where staff have been accredited using our exercise method - the CrookBack Clinic.
THE MUSCULO-SKELETAL EPIDEMIC We're in the midst of an epidemic of musculo-skeletal dysfunction fueled, more likely than not by under-use and dietary insufficiency.
If you sit down for long periods of time, if you don't have a regular and systematic strength and flexibility training program, sooner or later you can expect some degree of musculo-skeletal dysfunction. Where it hits you is at the whim and fancy of the gods.
Principles The over-riding principle is based on Newton's First Law of Motion - a body in alignment stays in alignment unless acted upon by a force. The corollary, of course is true: a body out of alignment stays out of alignment unless acted upon by a force. Trauma excepted, when muscles become tight and weak they drag bones out of alignment.
The other fundamental principles are:
We've scanned the world for treatment suggestions and provide our clients with our own analysis as to the likely cause of their dysfunction and the treatment which may restore poor function to good.
Our advice covers a wide range of modalities and we recommend to our clients that they adopt an open mind to pursuing some or may of them in their quest to become healthier.
